DIGITAL CONNECTION

What online presence does your Lodge have?

Having an online presence is crucial for Masonic Lodges, as it allows them to effectively connect with existing and prospective members, fostering a sense of community and engagement. Additionally, it helps Lodges reach out to the local community, showcasing their values and activities, and attracting new members.

Having social media accounts allows Masonic Lodges to reach younger audiences and stay relevant in a digital age. It also provides a platform for interactive communication, fostering relationships and community support. This outlet also keeps current members engaged by reflecting the Lodge’s active presence and ongoing activities.

The most common outlet for men, aged 30-65 today (our primary demographic) is still Facebook. Due to its vast user base, it serves as the primary platform for discovering and engaging with businesses and organizations.

  • If you have a Facebook page, how could it be updated or better-reflect Lodge activity and membership?
  • If you don’t have a Facebook page, please contact the Grand Lodge to establish next steps on this.

Maintaining a fresh website with up-to-date content is essential for a Masonic Lodge to ensure that visitors receive accurate and relevant information. While mostly for non-Masons, websites help build credibility and attract new members.

Don’t have time to update content for the website? No worries. Write simple “evergreen” content that can remain on the website without making the page seem dated.

Utilizing the digital communication tools within the GrandView membership database allows Lodges to streamline communication, ensuring that updates and information reach all members efficiently. This capability enhances engagement, facilitates timely event notifications, and strengthens the overall connection between the Lodge and its members.

Inviting and embracing tech-savvy members to engage in the Lodge’s digital efforts can significantly enhance overall engagement and modernize the Lodge’s operations. This not only provides a meaningful role for younger or more technologically inclined Freemasons but also brings fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to enhance the Lodge’s digital presence.
